CREATIVE COOK POSITION

We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and make a career out of fueling people with delicious, healthy food. If you are a hardworking, creative cook who’s passionate about making local, seasonal, plant-based food, we would love to hear from you!

Side note: Due to the current circumstances, we are only open for pick-up twice a week which means this is a part-time position for now which will grow into full-time work this summer. Our immediate goals are to have you add to our existing food menu in the cafe and expand our reach by building our catering business and adding delivery service.

SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a passion for local, sustainable, plant-based food
• Must have the ability to create and execute new menu items
• Responsible for inventory, ordering and food costing
• Ensures kitchen is clean and organized
• Have an interest in growing with us as our business grows and expands
• Must have a great attitude and contribute to a positive work environment
• Self-motivated, problem-solver and team player 
• Have excellent communication skills
• Ability to reach, bend, squat and frequently move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a small space as our kitchen is tiny which also means you need a healthy sense of humor
• Must be able to work weekends

COMPENSATION

Competitive hourly wage, varies DOE with paid overtime.

CUSTOMER SERVICE CHAMPION

We are always growing and continuing to build a strong team of people who LOVE providing top-notch service to our customers. 

This part-time position is for a Customer Service Champion! You’ll be taking orders and helping customers at the counter, prepping and making smoothies, making coffee drinks, dancing around all the other JUELers in our small space, and lots more. There’s always potential for growth, and full-time work, especially if you have experience with any of the following: Barista, Gluten Free Baking, or Vegetarian/Vegan Cooking.

SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS

• Customer Service experience or proven ability to work well with customers and fellow employees in a fast past environment
• Must be able to work weekends
• Strong attention to detail
• A willingness to contribute to a variety of daily duties
• A passion for wellness 
• Ability to work in a very small, busy space and have a healthy sense of humor while doing it
• Ability to reach, bend, squat and frequently move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
